DRAINAGE FABRIC
TenCate Mirafi® N Series non-woven polypropylene geotextiles are comprised of polypropylene staple fibers.  Mirafi® N Series non-woven polypropylene geotextiles provide excellent physical and hydraulic properties in addition to high tensile strengths.

STABILIZATION
A Mirafi® geosynthetic is placed on top of soft subgrades prior to placement of the granular subbase layer.  The geosynthetic prevents the loss of the granular subbase material into the soft subgrade, maintaining the structural integrity of the pavement.  The use of  Mirafi® geosynthetics thus extends the maintenance-free life of pavements constructed on soft subgrades.

SLOPES
TenCate Mirafi® and Miragrid® geosynthetics deliver solutions that increase the construction of steepened slopes for both vegetated and wrapped  faced slopes by enhancing  stability,  providing tensile resistance,  and  superior  reinforcement.  Our complete product line offers materials that function for soil reinforcement, drainage, and  erosion protection.  These  products enable slopes to be constructed to

WALLS
Mirafi® geosynthetics are used to provide stability to temporary and permanent retaining  walls. Miragrid® is  used most  commonly with segmental concrete blocks as the facing.  Retaining walls constructed in this manner are economical, efficient and aesthetic.

PAVING
Mirafi® MPV Nonwoven Asphalt Overlay Fabric
Mirafi® MPV nonwoven asphalt overlay fabric consists of needle-punched heat-set polypropylene.  This polypropylene is known to be essential in fabric overlay pavement performance due to its strengthening of entire pavement systems and its lengthy performance life.  Mirafi® MPV asphalt overlay fabric provides a waterproof barrier to protect sub-grade soils from surface water and a stress-relieving interface to retard reflective cracking and improve fatigue resistance.

LANDSCAPE FABRICS

Mirafi® Mirascape

Mirafi® Mirascape is a needle-punched, heat bonded non-woven polypropylene landscape fabric.  Mirascape has an earth tone color to most closely represent the widest range of soil colors.  It is designed specifically to act as a week barrier, soil separator and light drainage filter.  Mirascape is inert to biological degradation and resistant to naturally encountered chemicals, alkalis and acids.

Typar Landscape Fabric is a tough, durable tear resistant geotextile that is used under decorative rock or mulch as a weed barrier. It is a non-woven, polypropylene fabric that allows moisture and air to reach plants below.  Typar is available in a variety of roll sizes.

Typar Premium Landscape Fabric allows homeowners and professional landscapers to spend their time on other tasks or just relaxing. Manufactured of strong and durable spun-bonded polypropylene, Typar Premium Landscape Fabric is composed of continuous fibers, so unlike some woven landscape fabrics, it will not unravel or fray. The fibers are bonded closely together to create a mat that prevents weed roots from growing through it; covered with three to four inches of the mulch of your choice, weed roots don't have room to grow. In fact, in order to allow desired plants to grow through Typar Premium Landscape Fabric, you must cut an "x" through the fabric where you wish to place them.

Although Typar Premium Landscape Fabric prevents weed root growth, it is porous enough to allow water, air and nutrients through; this allows for the healthy soil conditions vital for a plant's growth. In addition, unlike black plastic, this porosity means water will not pool on top of it to cause mildew or stagnant pools. The polypropylene used in Typar Premium Landscape Fabric is particularly well-suited for outdoor use because it is durable and not susceptible to mold, mildew, chemicals or microorganisms.

Typar Premium Landscape Fabric is lightweight so it's easy to take to the job- site, and its flexible structure makes it a cinch to install because it follows ground contours readily. After removing anything such as rocks or clumps of vegetation that would create a bulge, simply unroll the fabric over the area to be landscaped. Cut an "x" over existing plants, roll back the folds and gently bring the plants through so that Typar Premium Landscape Fabric settles at the base of their stems. (If the area is being newly landscaped, cut an "x" in the fabric where bushes or flowers are to be located before planting them.) Once plants are brought through, cover the fabric with three or four inches of organic mulch such as wood chips, or inorganic mulch such as stone, to protect it from breaking down under the sun's ultraviolet rays.

Typar Premium Landscape Fabric is packaged in a variety of sizes. It does more than provide weed control in landscaped or gardened areas. It can be used for soil retention for timber retaining walls, around blind drains, as weed control under decks, to support brick or block walkways, for soil retention in planters and pots, and as an interceptor trench drain.

DELTA^®-DRAIN is an effective method to control the flow of damaging soil moisture though cracks and gaps in below grade structures, while relieving hydrostatic pressure.  It is comprised of a multi-layer geocomposite combining a high compressive strength core with a geotextile, bonded to the core for lasting durability.  DELTA^®-DRAIN creates an essential path for the vertical and horizontal drainage of soil moisture and filtering of soil particles.  DELTA^®-DRAIN has been successfully used in a wide variety of exterior applications where redirection of ground water and pressure relief are primary concerns.  DELTA^®-DRAIN large size makes installation faster.  Extra width means less material overlap, less seams, less labor, which leads to an important point--less cost.  DELTA^®-DRAIN is typically used in conjunction with liquid and sheet applied waterproofings and as a stand alone drainage composite for civil engineering applications. 

DELTA^®-DRAIN 2000
The  DELTA^®DRAIN 2000  system consists  of a  three-dimensional, tear  resistant  polymeric  core and non-woven, needle-punched geotextile.  Fully bonding the geotextile to the core’s dimples prevents the geotextile from being pushed into the flow channels by back-fill.

Water can pass freely and easily through the geotextile and into the drain core where gravity feeds it into the drainage system and pipes.

DELTA^®-DRAIN 6000
The DELTA^®DRAIN 6000   system is the heavy duty version of the DELTA^®DRAIN 2000.  DELTA^®DRAIN 6000  system  consists of a three-dimensional, tear  resistant polymeric  core and non-woven, needle-punched  filter geotextile.  Fully  bonding the geotextile  to the core’s dimples prevents  the  geotextile from  being  pushed  into the  flow channels by back-fill.  Water can pass freely and easily through the geotextile and into the drain core where gravity feeds it into the drainage system and pipes.

DELTA^®-DRAIN 6200

DELTA^®DRAIN 6200 is a specially manufactured version of DELTA^®DRAIN 6000 offering the unltimate in drain  solutions that  incorporates a plastic  sheet  adhered to the back surface of the drain core.  This plastic sheet offers a protective layer on the flat side  of the plastic core to prevent die cutting of soft liquid or sheet applied waterproofing membrane.

DELTA^®DRAIN 6200 can also be used in lagging wall applications.  Additionally, the plastic backing on DELTA^®DRAIN 6200 can act as a slipsheet between the drain board and the adjacent structure.

DELTA^®-DRAIN 9000
DELTA^®DRAIN  9000  is a high-strength,  high  performance  drain  board  ideally suited for demanding horizontal  applications in  plaza deck,  split slab  and horizontal  flat work and pavement construction.  DELTA^®DRAIN 9000  utilizes a high-strength woven monofilament filter fabric that offers ideal drainage and support under concrete, soil and beddings.

It is well known that moisture can be a major source for trouble in construction.  In building envelopes and wall cavities moisture can cause mold, mildew, and major decay, whether the origin of moisture is rainwater that passes the exterior cladding, or condensing vapor from the interior.   DELTA^®-DRY provides a unique approach to manage both, moisture from inside and outside in order to protect the wall cavity against moisture damage.

DELTA^®-DRY is an impermeable membrane made out of a special high-density polyethylene that provides two-sided drainage through its dimple and groove design.  The structured membrane provides a protective weather resistive barrier with complete capillary break for residential and commercial building structures.  It protects the building from water intrusion behind the exterior cladding (i.e. wind driven rain) by draining it back out to the exterior.  DELTA^®-DRY allows water vapor, driven from the interior to the exterior to escape through the air space between exterior sheathing board and membrane, while minimizing the potential for condensation that could cause damage in the wall cavity.

Due to the double sided dimple structure of the membrane breathability is provided on both sides of the product, allowing moisture to escape behind siding, brick veneer, or any other approved exterior cladding.  At the same time DELTA^®-DRY impedes solar-driven moisture towards the interior of the structure as it occurs with conventional stucco, brick veneer, or any other absorptive cladding material.  In addition the membrane helps to save energy by reflecting radiation heat - keeping heat outside in the summer, and warmth inside in the winter.

DELTA^®-DRY is designed to be installed on the exterior sheathing board (OSB) as a substitute for conventional sheathing membranes (i.e. building paper).  It may also be installed over breather type sheathing membranes or building paper.  Top and bottom edge of the membrane are ventilated (allow for air movement).  The material is easy to cut with a utility knife.  Seams are simply overlapped (shingled) by approximately 3 inches.  Window and door cut-outs are to be wrapped with a self-adhesive flashing material along the bottom sill and the side jambs.  Exterior cladding material can be installed as usual right on top of DELTA^®-DRY.

The performance of this innovative weather resistive barrier has been validated through testing at the University of Waterloo and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
